The Halloween Spirit came alive throughout Red Hook school buildings Thursday, as students and staff dressed up and engaged in costumed activities to celebrate the holiday.
A beloved member of the Mill Road staff for 40 years, Paul Menz was honored as the pathway behind the school officially opened Oct. 16.
The event featured a wide variety of attractions, from physical games and challenges like sack races and a balance beam, to tables for arts and crafts and pumpkin decorating, to a dance area and tables where parents could learn more about wellness programs and initiatives.
District voters overwhelmingly supported refurbishing the high school gymnasium, among other repairs, in a special proposition vote.
The Red Hook Police Department purchased its first fully electric vehicle, which will be used by the School Resource Officer Program during months when school is in session.
